Reprint and Copyright Policy

Institute for Historical Review basically encourages non-commercial reprinting and distribution of IHR items. We require only that the source be cited, and that proper credit be given.

Except for items that are copyright by others, and which are specifically designated as such, the IHR and its parent corporation (LSF) grants permission for non-commercial distribution, reprinting, re-posting, and translation into other languages, of articles, essays, reviews and other items that are posted on the IHR website, or which have appeared in the IHR’s Journal of Historical Review.

This general policy is in keeping with the mission of the IHR, a not-for-profit public interest educational, research and publishing enterprise that seeks to promote peace, understanding and justice through greater public awareness of the past.

No IHR item may be used for commercial purposes in any form – including reprinting, re-posting or translation into other languages — without prior written permission.
