Foreign Policy Establishment Has Collective Mental Breakdown: America Must Forever Defend Everyone
Doug Bandow
The U.S. is a wreck. Streets are filled with protesters. Neighborhoods are looted and burned. Extremists seized city hall and the surrounding neighborhood in the progressive city of Seattle. American politics is hyper-partisan, divided and hostile, even hateful … Washington will be borrowing more than $4 trillion this year and $2 trillion next year – and those numbers likely will increase after another bailout bill expected next month … How, pray tell, will an America facing financial, economic, social, and political crises meet its needs at home while continuing to subsidize all of its rich industrial allies, manage the Middle East’s manifold hostilities, confront all of its friends’ enemies everywhere, and, most seriously, take on the emerging Chinese-Russian alliance, encouraged by America’s ever sharper hostility toward both of them?

Nuclear Rivals Clash in the Himalayas
Eric Margolis
Last week, the world’s most populous nations, India and China, both nuclear armed, clashed in the high Himalayan region of Ladakh … The clash in Ladakh was no accident but clearly a planned offensive act by China – and the biggest military operation since the two Asian giants went to war in the Himalayas in 1962, producing a serious defeat for India … India’s new Hindu nationalist government under PM Narendra Modi has made no secret of its growing hostility to both China and its close ally, Pakistan, India’s longtime rival … Meanwhile, the fiercely anti-Muslim White House has quietly allowed four million Hindu Indians to emigrate to the United States as a way of countering the growing number of Muslims in our nation.

Crews in Charleston, South Carolina, on Wednesday removed a statue of politician John C. Calhoun from its tall pedestal in Marion Square. The operation took most of the day, with the statue lowered to the ground amid cheers. Calhoun, a former vice president of the United States and US senator, is known for defending slavery and owning about 80 slaves himself. A Clemson University biography called him an ardent believer in white supremacy.

Austria Breaks Ground on Holocaust Memorial in Vienna
Associated Press
Austria broke ground Monday on a new memorial to the country’s 65,000 Jews killed during the Nazi era. “The Memorial to the Jewish Children, Women and Men of Austria who were Murdered in the Shoah” being erected in Vienna’s central Ostarrichi Park will consist of large slabs set in the ground in a circle, engraved with the names of the 64,000 victims who have been identified. Another 1,000 are known to have been killed by the Nazis, but their names have been lost. Nazi dictator Adolf Hitler was born in Austria, and many in the country enthusiastically welcomed Germany’s annexation of it in 1938, the year before World War II. At that time, around 210,000 Jews lived in the country.

Germans Celebrate Union of Austria With the Reich
Video – Newsreel
This April 1938 newsreel report of British Pathé and UFA documents the enormous popular support across Germany for the union (Anschluss) of Austria with the Reich. Runtime: 6:58 mins. The historic occasion is marked across the country with the ringing of bells in church towers, and large evening rallies and celebrations. In an expression of national solidarity, the sounds of whistles across the Reich signal the start of a two-minute pause of work and traffic. People display the swastika banner at their homes and places of work, and large, joyful crowds greet Hitler’s appearance. In a national referendum, some 99 percent of voters mark “Yes” on their ballots as an expression of support for the Anschluss. Even skeptical foreign observers acknowledged that this overwhelming vote of approval reflected the popular mood.

Austria and Hitler: How 'The Sound of Music' Distorts History
Mark Weber – Video
The Sound of Music is a popular, tuneful and enduring American film. But its portrayal of history, and especially its depiction of the 1938 union of Austria with the German Reich is a gross distortion of reality. In fact, the vast majority of Austrians joyfully welcomed the union (Anschluss) of their homeland with National Socialist Germany, and strongly, even enthusiastically, supported the Hitler government. Runtime: 48:21 mins.

A statue honoring a colonizer who laid claim to the land where the discovery of shiny flakes of gold sparked the California Gold Rush was removed Monday outside a hospital bearing his name in Sacramento. Several dozen people cheered as a work crew lifted the statue of John Sutter — a 19th century European colonizer of California who enslaved Native Americans — off its pedestal outside Sutter Medical Center in the latest reckoning of historical figures being removed from public display … In addition to the replica fort in downtown Sacramento that still bears his name across from the hospital, there is a county and several schools and streets named for Sutter across California.

A county in Oregon has reversed an exemption of its face mask order for non-white residents after racial backlash, saying the policy “does more harm than good.” After Lincoln County saw a spike in coronavirus cases, health officials declared face coverings would be required in public settings. The directive came with several exemptions including “people of color who have heightened concerns about racial profiling and harassment due to wearing face coverings in public.” However, county officials issued a statement Wednesday revising the policy a week after it was passed to address public concerns from both sides. “We are shocked and appalled at the volume of horrifically racist commentary we have received regarding this policy exception,” they said.

The Boy Scouts of America (BSA) announced Monday it will implement a specific “diversity and inclusion merit badge” in support of the Black Lives Matter movement that will be required to achieve the rank of Eagle Scout going forward. In a letter to scouting families, the organization said it will also require diversity and inclusion training for all BSA employees starting on July 1, and a review of property names, events and insignia will be conducted “to build on and enhance the organization’s nearly 30-year ban on [the] use of the Confederate flag.”

The Phantom Genocide
David Cole
… Let’s start by acknowledging a simple fact: There is no black genocide in the U.S. Period. You can count the number of unarmed American blacks fatally shot by cops in 2019 on your fingers. Again, there is no black genocide. Certainly not at the hands of cops or whites in general (and even the black-on-black death toll doesn’t rise to “genocide” levels). Black activists and their media lackeys tell us the genocide is real … Those who dispute that claim are attacked as racists and — oh my goodness — deniers! … So, of course it follows that all whites will need “black genocide” education. Holocaust education already set the precedent that “responsibility” is carried in your DNA, regardless of individual circumstances or life experiences.

An extravagant Victory Day military parade commenced Wednesday in Moscow, as Russian President Vladimir Putin looks to solidify support ahead of a national referendum that could keep him in power until 2036. The annual parade, which commemorates the end of World War II in Europe, is usually held on May 9 … This year’s parade also has international contingents … Last week, Putin published an article that highlighted Russia’s efforts to claim some moral high ground in the years leading up to the start of World War II. He echoed that sentiment in a speech at the parade, saying: “We will always remember that it’s the Soviet people that defeated Nazi Germany… and it’s hard to imagine what would have happened to the world hadn’t the Red Army came to its rescue.”

Lies and Deceit In American Film Propaganda
Mark Weber – Video
Decades of deceitful motion pictures have done much to produce a misinformed and compliant American public. A notable example of such film deceit is “Mission to Moscow,” a major Hollywood production made with White House backing, that portrays Soviet dictator Stalin and the Soviet Russian regime as benevlolent, peace-loving and trustworthy. Another good example is the “Why We Fight” series of documentary-style films produced by the US War Department, which have been viewed by millions. Made during World War II, these seven films use staged scenes and fake quotations to present a grossly distorted view of history and the world.

How Bolton, Netanyahu and Pompeo Sabotaged Talks With Iran
Haaretz (Israel)
Benjamin Netanyahu is mentioned over 30 times in John Bolton’s new book, “The Room Where It Happened,” which details his tumultuous 18 months working as President Donald Trump’s national security adviser … One story Bolton tells in more detail, however, reveals how Netanyahu – together with Bolton and Secretary of State Mike Pompeo – reportedly sabotaged Trump’s attempts to open diplomatic channels with Tehran last summer. Bolton recounts this story with pride, and hints that the efforts by himself and Pompeo, with Netanyahu’s backing, stopped Trump from going for a broader U.S.-Iran deal, which was being pushed at the time by French President Emmanuel Macron.

Why We Capitalize 'Black' (and not 'white')
Columbia Journalism Review
At the Columbia Journalism Review, we capitalize Black, and not white, when referring to racial groups. Black is an ethnic designation; white merely describes the skin color of people who can, usually without much difficulty, trace their ethnic origins back to a handful of European countries … In the meantime — and in what is surely a sign of evolving American attitudes on the topic — USA Today has announced that it will be adopting the cap-B Black across its network, which includes the flagship paper and “more than 260 local news organizations.” … This all makes for a good start, but it will mean nothing if white Americans don’t make an effort to understand the whys and wherefores — which is to say, the history that delivered us to this precise point in time.

Lincoln County, Oregon, has exempted non-white people from a new order requiring that face coverings be worn in public — to prevent racial profiling. Health officials announced last week residents must wear face coverings in public settings where they may come within six feet of another individual who is not from the same household. But people of color do not have to follow the new rule if they have “heightened concerns about racial profiling and harassment” over wearing the masks, officials said. “No person shall intimidate or harass people who do not comply,” health officials said. With mask requirements becoming more common, activists have raised concerns that the directives could put non-white people in danger.

Two San Francisco Bay Area schools named for founding fathers who were slaveholders will get new names following a push by Black Lives Matter activists, according to a newspaper report. The Berkeley Unified School District board unanimously approved a “Resolution in Support of Black Lives Matter” during a meeting last week, the San Francisco Chronicle reported Monday. The move started the process of renaming Jefferson and Washington elementary schools. The current school names commemorate the first and third U.S. presidents, George Washington and Thomas Jefferson, who both owned slaves … Also included in the resolution is a new, year-round “Black Joy Campaign” …

The state of Rhode Island is moving to change its official name — “The State of Rhode Island and Providence Plantations” — due to its connection to slavery. Rhode Island Governor Gina Raimondo signed an executive order on Monday to change what appears on government documents, and the state’s legislature is moving forward with a bill to alter the name entirely. “Many of the State’s residents find it painful that a word so closely associated with slavery should appear in the official name of the State,” Raimondo wrote … The order will shorten the name to “Rhode Island” in official communications from the governor’s office, including executive orders and citations, and will also change the state’s website. It will also remove the word “plantations” from all state agency websites and official correspondence, effective “as soon as practicable.”

The American Museum of Natural History will remove a prominent statue of Theodore Roosevelt from its entrance after years of objections that it symbolizes colonial expansion and racial discrimination, Mayor Bill de Blasio said Sunday. The bronze statue that has stood at the museum’s Central Park West entrance since 1940 depicts Roosevelt on horseback with a Native American man and an African man standing next to the horse. “The American Museum of Natural History has asked to remove the Theodore Roosevelt statue because it explicitly depicts Black and Indigenous people as subjugated and racially inferior,” de Blasio said in a written statement … But President Trump objected to the statue’s removal, tweeting overnight Monday, “Ridiculous, don’t do it!”

Canadian Polish-Language Publisher Detained and Warned by Police For 'Anti-Semitic' Remarks
Jewish Journal (California)
A Canadian publisher of a Polish-language publication was arrested on June 11 and then subsequently released for publishing anti-Semitic articles. B’nai Brith Canada filed a complaint against Andrzej Kumor in August 2019, citing stories in his publication Goniec stating that Jews and Zionists have “terrorism in their blood” and that “Jews are spying on you.” Other articles alleged that the “Jewish political lobby” controls the United States government. Kumor also made the “terrorism in their blood” remarks in a YouTube video. The articles and YouTube video have since been removed from the internet; the authorities warned Kumor that he would be charged with inciting hatred against Jews if he posted any further anti-Semitic content.

Pres. Trump Was Prepared to Back Israeli Strike on Iran, Says John Bolton
The Jerusalem Post
President Donald Trump expressed willingness to support Israeli strikes on Iran, according to his former national security advisor John Bolton. In Bolton’s book The Room Where it Happened, released this week, he describes a 2017 meeting in which Trump made the comments … “On Iran, I urged that he press ahead to withdraw from the nuclear agreement and explained why the use of force against Iran’s nuclear program might be the only lasting solution.” Though Bolton did not mention Israel using force, Trump responded by saying that he would support Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu doing so. “You tell Bibi [Netanyahu] that if he uses force, I will back him. I told him that, but you tell him again,” Trump told Bolton.

… As of this writing, the Seattle Police has surrendered without defeat … Across the U.S., the message to law-abiding Americans, from city, town, county council members and other legislators came loud and clear: You’re on your own. Neither police nor politicians are coming to protect what’s left of your businesses or your banal, bourgeoisie little life … Ordered liberty is dead, and the law-abiding are utterly forsaken, even vilified. Yes, victims are now villains and villains are … martyrs … The forces, police and paramilitary, all squatted like sissies … In Parker, Colorado, masses assumed the postures of ordination: prostration, lying prone, limbs splayed. Congressional Democrats, led by Nancy, did the same.

Your Black Future
Linh Dinh
… To better understand what’s happening, though, we should reexamine Mao’s Cultural Revolution. Lasting a full decade [1966-1976], it destroyed much of China’s cultural heritage and tore that society apart, all in the name of getting rid of the “Four Olds”: old customs, old culture, old habits and old ideas. It was a reign of terror against man, civilization and China itself, but it had to be done, for there was a socialist utopia at the end of the blood splattered tunnel, said Mao. Mao’s shock troops were high school and university students, woke idiots, in short, with their little Red Book … To remake a nation, then, you destroy its heritage, its “Four Olds.” In the West, old ways are inextricably linked with Christianity and whiteness, so both have to go …

San Francisco Protesters Topple Statues of Ulysses Grant and Other 'Racists'
The Guardian (Britain)
On Friday night in San Francisco, protesters tore down and defaced statues of white men who enslaved black and indigenous people – among them Ulysses S Grant, the 18th president who in the civil war led the Union armies in the defeat of the slave-owning Confederacy … Statues of Father Junípero Serra and Francis Scott Key, the author of the Star-Spangled Banner, were also brought down … Grant was the last US president to have personally owned another human being … Junípero Serra was a Spanish priest who played a central role in the violent colonization of California. His path towards being canonized as a saint in the Catholic church has long been met with protest by Native Americans.

Protestors Topple Statues Across the U.S.
Associated Press
Protesters tore down more statues across the United States, expanding the razing in a San Francisco park to the writer of America’s national anthem and the general who won the country’s Civil War that ended widespread slavery. In Seattle, pre-dawn violence erupted Saturday in a protest zone largely abandoned by police, where one person was fatally shot and another critically injured. On the East Coast, more statues honoring Confederates who tried to break away from the United States more than 150 years ago were toppled. But several were removed at the order of North Carolina’s Democratic governor …

Major cities in the U.S. reported bloody weekends amid increased calls to defund and disband police departments in the wake of George Floyd’s death in police custody. Chicago recorded at least 11 killed and 67 wounded during an outbreak of violence, according to Fox 32 … Eight of those shot were children and teens, four of them died … The New York Post reported Monday that there was one shooting in the city per hour on Saturday, and cited a police chief who told the paper that defendants arrested for gun possession have been allowed to skip ha jail during the coronavirus pandemic. The paper reported that 24 people were shot citywide on Saturday alone.

Fourteen people, including five children, were killed as more than 100 people were shot in a wave of gunfire in Chicago over the Father’s Day weekend that produced the city’s highest number of shooting victims in a single weekend this year. … In all, 102 people were shot across Chicago from Friday evening to Monday morning – the highest number of shooting victims in a single weekend this year, the Chicago Sun-Times reported. The violence comes nearly a month after Chicago had its deadliest Memorial Day weekend since 2015 as nine people were killed and another 27 wounded in shootings.

When Stalin Faced Hitler
Stephen Kotkin - Foreign Affairs
… Stalin saw himself and his country as menaced from every direction. After seizing power in 1917, Lenin and his followers had obsessed over the “capitalist encirclement” their coup had brought about: now, this structural paranoia fed, and was fed by, Stalin’s personal paranoia … His drive to build socialism would prove both successful and shattering, and deeply reinforcing of his hyper-suspicious, vindictive disposition … He possessed a phenomenal memory and a mind of scope; his intellectual horizons were severely circumscribed by primitive theories of class struggle and imperialism … He was a cynic about everyone’s supposed base motives; he lived and breathed his own ideals … For Stalin, the question was not whether war with the Nazi regime was inescapable but whether it was inescapable this year [1941].

Hitler’s Invasion of Russia in World War Two
L. Rees – BBC History
In the whole of history there has never been a war like it. In its scale of destruction, the war on the Eastern Front was unique; from Leningrad to the Crimea, from Kiev to Stalingrad, the Soviet Union was devastated … The Germans invaded the Soviet Union in the summer of 1941 [June 22], and looked poised to take Moscow by October that year. With the benefit of hindsight, popular opinion has labelled Hitler as virtually insane for invading the Soviet Union, but at the time many people – including those influential in both Britain and America – thought his decision was a sound one. Indeed, Hitler came much closer to pulling off his grand plan than the Soviet Union was ever prepared to admit.

Why Germany Attacked the Soviet Union
Mark Weber – Institute for Historical Review
As dawn was breaking on Sunday morning, June 22, 1941, military forces of Germany, Finland and Romania suddenly struck against the Soviet Union. The stunning news of this attack was announced to the world by German radio at 5:30 that Sunday morning, when Reich Minister Joseph Goebbels broadcast the text of a proclamation by Adolf Hitler to the German people that laid out his reasons for the historic offensive. Following that was the broadcast of Germany’s declaration of war against the Soviet Union. This was in the form of a diplomatic note to the Soviet government. Because Hitler’s proclamation and the German Foreign Office declaration explain at some length the reasons and motives for the fateful decision to strike against the USSR, these are documents of historic importance.

An Important Look At the Hitler-Stalin Clash
Joseph Bishop
… Hitler is presented [by author John Mosier in his book “Deathride”] as a sane and rational man making sensible and very smart decisions, understanding strategy and global politics far better than his generals. Instead of a surprise attack on the innocent Russians, Mosier has concluded that the war was a pre-emptive strike on a predator poised to invade Germany and Europe … “The most recent evidence confirms what German interrogations of captured Soviet officers revealed in 1941, that Stalin was in fact planning to attack Hitler at the first opportune moment … The recent evidence contradicts a long-established Stalinist legend, and certainly explains Hitler’s motivation: his attack on the Soviet Union was a preemptive strike.”

Cancelling ‘Washington, Jefferson, Lincoln, and Lee’?
William Sullivan - American Thinker
… If our culture commits to cancelling Lee because he did not subscribe to modern moral understanding about the questions of slavery and race relations, then we certainly have to cancel Washington and Jefferson, who both owned slaves, and fought to create a nation in which slavery would be legal … [Abraham] Lincoln may not be canceled just yet, but is it really hard to believe that progressive revisionists won’t be tearing down his statues soon, too? Especially when they hear that he told Stephen Douglas, while debating in favor of abolition, that he would never intend to make “voters or jurors of negroes” and that he, “as much as any man” among the populace he entreated, was “in favor of having the superior position” among the races “assigned to the white man?” This slippery slope in our current culture shouldn’t be too difficult to identify.

Abraham Lincoln and the Issue of Race
Robert Morgan – Institute for Historical Review
Many Americans think of Abraham Lincoln, above all, as the president who freed the slaves. Immortalized as the “Great Emancipator,” he is widely regarded as a champion of black freedom who supported social equality of the races, and who fought the American Civil War to free the slaves. While it is true that Lincoln regarded slavery as an evil and harmful institution, it also true, as this paper will show, that he shared the conviction of most Americans of his time, and of many prominent statesmen before and after him, that blacks could not be assimilated into white society. He rejected the notion of social equality of the races, and held to the view that blacks should be resettled abroad.

Tens of thousands of Americans participated in protests, rallies, street parties, strikes, and Confederate statue-toppling across the nation in celebration of Juneteenth, the holiday commemorating the effective end of slavery in the US, fueled by momentum from the racial justice protest movement that’s emerged after the police killing of George Floyd in May. The lively demonstrations come as many politicians and prominent businesses have taken steps to make the holiday a day off from work and school … Protesters tore down Confederate statues in Washington, DC, and Raleigh, North Carolina. In DC, demonstrators used chains to take down an 11-foot bronze statue of Confederate General Albert Pike … and then set it on fire.

… The American Establishment is totally committed to the principle that the United States and Israel should have a “free hand” in dealing with other countries in their respective spheres of influence. That effectively means controlling the narrative so that the U.S. and the Jewish state always appear to be victims of other nations’ unprincipled behavior and also creating an environment where there can be no effective legal challenges to aggressive action. Indeed, the one organization that was specifically set up to deal with issues like aggressive wars and ethnic cleansing, the International Criminal Court (ICC) at the Hague, has been specifically targeted by both Washington and Jerusalem to deny it any jurisdiction in situations where either country is involved.

An Oxford University college said on Wednesday it wanted to remove from its facade a statue of 19th century colonialist Cecil Rhodes that has been a target of anti-racism protests, though the decision would be made independently. Oriel College has been under pressure for several years from the #RhodesMustFall campaign, which argues the statue glorifies racism and is an insult to black students … In Britain, the Black Lives Matter protests have ignited a debate about monuments commemorating the nation’s imperialist past. Rhodes, a mining magnate, was a central figure in Britain’s colonial project in southern Africa … A student at Oriel in his youth, he endowed the Rhodes Scholarships, which have allowed more than 8,000 students from around the world, including former U.S. President Bill Clinton, to study at Oxford.

Why Zionists Should Stand With Black Lives Matter
Michael Koplow - New York Jewish Week
… In this instance, the quest for justice and equity irrespective of race or skin color is not only a core American value, but also an unquestionably Jewish value. Taken together, that creates a strong argument for American Jews to take up the Black Lives Matter banner as a movement. It does not mean that Israel is not important to American Jews and that we should not wear our Zionism proudly on our sleeves. But if we take the American part of our identities seriously, Israel is an important priority that has to be balanced against others as well … In this fraught moment, it is clear that pursuing justice means standing with black Americans and pushing back against systemic racism. Doing so meets our need to be both Jewish and American, and it also does not have to compromise our Zionism and support for Israel.

As protests sweep the world in the wake of the Minneapolis police killing of George Floyd, Israel lobby groups are struggling to appear on board with the Black Lives Matter movement while upholding their support for Israel’s racism. While some are trying to jump on the anti-racism bandwagon, others are dispensing with subtlety altogether. Morton Klein, the head of the Zionist Organization of America, demanded that the Southern Poverty Law Center, a civil rights organization, “immediately put Black Lives Matter on their list of hate groups.” … For the Anti-Defamation League, a major Israel lobby group that masquerades as a civil rights organization, it’s a tougher balancing act.

Officers from the US police force responsible for the killing of George Floyd received training in restraint techniques and anti-terror tactics from Israeli law-enforcement officers. Mr Floyd’s death in custody last Monday, the latest in a succession of police killings of African Americans, has sparked continuing protests and rioting in US cities. At least 100 Minnesota police officers attended a 2012 conference hosted by the Israeli consulate in Chicago, the second time such an event had been held. There they learned the violent techniques used by Israeli forces as they terrorise the occupied Palestinian territories under the guise of security operations. The so-called counterterrorism training conference in Minneapolis was jointly hosted by the FBI.

US City Bans Brutal Israeli Military Training of Police Forces
Middle East Monitor
A US city in North Carolina has banned the training of its police force by Israel’s military, in the aftermath of the brutal police killing of Black American George Floyd, reported The New Arab. Durham council voted unanimously 6-0 to adopt the ban, after a petition by activists garnered more than 1,400 signatures amid days of global protests against racism and police brutality sparked by the killing of Floyd. The council said the ban extends to any country that offers military-style training to its police force. “The Israel Defence Forces and the Israel Police have a long history of violence and harm against Palestinian people and Jews of colour,” the Demilitarize! From Durham2Palestine petition said. “They persist in using tactics of extrajudicial killing, excessive force, racial profiling and repression of social justice,” it added.

It’s been a rough year for the American psyche. Folks in the U.S. are more unhappy today than they’ve been in nearly 50 years. This bold — yet unsurprising — conclusion comes from the COVID Response Tracking Study, conducted by NORC at the University of Chicago … The survey, conducted in late May, draws on nearly a half-century of research from the General Social Survey, which has collected data on American attitudes and behaviors at least every other year since 1972 … Among other finding from the new poll about life in the pandemic: The public is less optimistic today about the standard of living improving for the next generation than it has been in the past 25 years. Only 42% of Americans believe that when their children reach their age, their standard of living will be better.

Understanding Antifa
William Smith - Law & Liberty
How can black clad provocateurs wearing jackboots claim to be champions of democracy and “the people?” How is rioting and looting considered virtuous behavior? Why is there support for this anarchy among many Western elites? … The anarchism of Antifa embodies the revolutionary outlook, common in the West since the 18 th century, that reviles traditional institutions, that seeks to undermine authority through random violence, and that assumes any violent spark that creates a popular uprising will usher in a utopian world of equality and justice. Antifa, like many revolutionaries before them, see themselves as midwives of true democracy, and violence is important in making certain that a new world is born.

As major cities begin picking up the pieces after days of destruction, the rioters and looters can rest easy knowing that they have a get-out-of-jail-free card waiting for them. Bail-out charities are suddenly flush with cash, especially the Minnesota Freedom Fund (MFF), which has received an unprecedented level of donations from Hollywood stars … The MFF’s stated objective is simple — it raises donations that it uses to bail out suspected criminals from jail and Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) detention … MFF’s sudden windfall raises questions about how the organization, which is led by a George Soros acolyte who is also a convicted drug offender, is actually spending its money. Are funds being used to bail out violent Antifa members? … MFF has been suspected of harboring Antifa sympathies …

Brooklyn-Based 'Antifa' Network Helping Organize Violence Across the Country

… Very little reporting has been done on who exactly is responsible beyond tweets from Donald Trump about the mobs being led by “Antifa” (Anti-Fascist) — an umbrella term anarchist organizations use as propaganda when trying to win liberal support for paramilitary attacks they conduct on nationalist protesters and Trump supporters. The mainstream media has played its role in intentionally obfuscating … The extent of their terrorist activities is unknown, but they have been very active in the George Floyd riots — calling it a “black liberation revolt” — and have chapters across the country. Many Americans have complained that neither the police nor the FBI appear interested in investigating or prosecuting anarchist paramilitary groups …

What is Antifa?
Wikipedia
Antifa is a predominantly left-wing, anti-fascist political activist movement in the United States, comprising a diverse array of autonomous activist groups that aim to achieve their objectives through the use of direct action rather than through policy reform. Activists engage in protest tactics such as digital activism and militancy, involving property damage, physical violence and harassment against people whom they identify as fascist, racist, or on the far-right. Individuals involved in the movement tend to hold anti-authoritarian and anti-capitalist views and subscribe to a range of left-wing ideologies such as anarchism, communism, Marxism, social democracy and socialism. Both the name antifa and the logo with two flags representing anarchism and communism are derived from the German Antifa movement.

A 1930s Jewish 'Antifa' Group

“Antifa” is in the air. It’s on President Trump’s lips. It’s trending on Twitter, but it’s not a new thing. Indeed, it has a very Jewish history. It’s an ideology that was born in order to oppose Hitler. “Antifa” is short for “anti-fascist.” It’s so Jewish that one of the items being shared widely on Twitter right now is the Yiddish and Hebrew manifesto of the antifa arm of a group that was an offshoot of a Marxist-Zionist political party …

… Black people are more likely than white people to die at the hands of the police; more likely to become unemployed; and, as COVID-19 has laid bare, more likely to be burdened with ill health … Nature condemns police prejudice and violence, we stand against all forms of racism and we join others around the world in saying, unequivocally, that Black Lives Matter … We recognize that Nature is one of the white institutions that is responsible for bias in research and scholarship. The enterprise of science has been — and remains — complicit in systemic racism, and it must strive harder to correct those injustices and amplify marginalized voices. At Nature, we will redouble our efforts to do so … Together with the rest of the research community, we must listen, reflect, learn and act — and we must never shirk our responsibility to end systemic racism.

Subversion of Science: How Psychology Lost Darwin
Glayde Whitney -- Institute for Historical Review
When real history is finally written, mainstream social sciences during most of the twentieth century will be exposed as consisting largely of ethnically motivated disinformation. Much has already been written about the subversion of American anthropology: the shift from legitimate science to ideological pap under the direction of the Jewish immigrant Franz Boas. Much less has been written about how psychology was transformed from a branch of natural science into a section of the Marxist-influenced social sciences. In this paper I will provide information on the subversion of psychology, pointing out the role of Boas and others in the subversion of psychology.

Pulling Down Statues of Racists? Africa’s Done It For Years
Associated Press
Queen Victoria, Cecil Rhodes, King Leopold. Statues honoring these leaders of colonial rule have been pulled down over the years in Africa after countries won independence or newer generations said racist relics had to go. New campaigns in the US and Europe are now following Africa’s lead. Monuments to slave traders and colonial rulers have become the focus of protests around the world, driven by a reexamination of historical injustice after the death of George Floyd at the hands of police in the US.

Cancel the White Men -- And What's Left?
Patrick J. Buchanan
… Where do the elites stop when the radicals demand more? If support of slavery disqualifies one from the company of decent men, does it disqualify George Washington, who owned slaves his entire life? … The newest bridge over the Potomac, like the premier dam in the TVA, is named for Woodrow Wilson, who resegregated the government. These were among the decisive figures of American history. If all are dishonored, with their statues pulled down and their names taken off cities, counties, towns, rivers, canals, bridges, buildings, highways, roads, streets and dams, then what is left? Detest all those white men if you will, but they were the ones who created the nation we inherited.

Washington, Jefferson Statues 'Need To Come Down,' Says CNN’s Angela Rye
Real Clear Politics
CNN’s Angela Rye called for statues of George Washington and Thomas Jefferson to come down Thursday on the network. “American history is not all glorious… George Washington was a slave owner. We need to call slave owners out for what they are. Whether we think they were protecting American freedom or not, he wasn’t protecting my freedoms,” the network contributor said. “To me, I don’t care if it’s a George Washington statue or Thomas Jefferson, they all need to come down,” Rye concluded. Rye’s remarks came after Daily Beast editor John Avlon argued Washington spent his life trying to unite the nation.

What The Founders Really Thought About Race
Jared Taylor
… Since early colonial times, and until just a few decades ago, virtually all Whites believed race was a fundamental aspect of individual and group identity. They believed people of different races had different temperaments and abilities, and built markedly different societies. They believed that only people of European stock could maintain a society in which they would wish to live and they strongly opposed miscegenation. For more than 300 years, therefore, American policy reflected a consensus on race that was the very opposite of what prevails today.

Seattle’s Statue of Bolshevik Leader Lenin
Curbed Seattle
In the heart of Seattle’s Fremont neighborhood, a larger- than-life man positioned in front of guns and flames sternly surveys the streets … This is Seattle’s 16-foot-tall bronze statue of Vladimir Ilyich Lenin, the notorious Russian revolutionary known for leading the Soviet Union and subsequently causing the deaths and oppression of tens of millions of people in the early 20th century … For more than two decades, his likeness has been featured in this quirky neighborhood. And for just as long, the piece has been a source of controversy. While some see it as yet another whimsical part of the neighborhood, others view it as paying homage to a villain. But at a time of political turbulence in the U.S. and pushback against the country’s many confederate statues, for some, the controversy surrounding this art piece took renewed sense of urgency.

A large statue of Russian Emperor (Tsar) Alexander III is dedicated in Yalta, November 2017. Russian President Vladimir Putin stands at attention as an honor guard pulls back the covering from the large bronze statue of the monarch who presided over the Russian empire from March 1881 to November 1894. In his remarks, Putin called the Tsar an “outstanding statesman and patriot.” Alexander III initiated great construction projects, including the Trans-Siberian railroad. He regarded Jews as a harmful factor in the social and economic life of Russia, and introduced measures to curb their role and influence. During his reign, some 20,000 Jews were evicted from Moscow. The standards by which historical figures are honored in Russia and many other countries are very different than those by which historical figures are honored in today’s America.

Enormous Statue of Genghis Khan in Mongolia
K. Patowary - Amusing Planet
To the outside world, Genghis Khan, the fearsome Mongolian warrior who conquered half the known world in the 13th century, is remembered for his brutalities and destruction that he brought upon the conquered regions, resulting in the death of forty million people. But to Mongolians, he is a national hero, a larger-than-life figure and the symbol of Mongolian culture, and for good reasons … In 2008, a gigantic statue of Genghis Khan riding on horseback was erected on the bank of the Tuul River at Tsonjin Boldog, 54 km east of the Mongolian capital Ulaanbaatar … The statue is 40 meters tall and wrapped in 250 tons of gleaming stainless steel. It stands on top of the Genghis Khan Statue Complex, a visitor center that itself is 10 meters tall … The Chinggis Khan Statue is currently the biggest equestrian statue in the world.

A statue to worldwide scout movement founder Robert Baden-Powell on Thursday became the latest historical monument to face removal as Britain’s colonial past confronted a wave of anti-racism protests. Local council leaders said they would take down the life-sized statue in the English south coast town of Poole to “minimize the risk of any public disorder”. Activists had highlighted Baden-Powell’s sympathies to Nazism and the Hitler youth program … Local authorities across Britain are now looking to either rename or replace monuments that have upset and infuriated the black and minority ethnic communities for generations. The University of Liverpool said it would rename a building named after former prime minister William Gladstone because of his links to the slave trade.

Historical Figures Reassessed Around Globe After Floyd Death
Associated Press
The rapidly unfolding movement to pull down Confederate monuments around the US in the wake of George Floyd’s death at the hands of police has extended to statues of slave traders, imperialists, conquerors and explorers around the world, including Christopher Columbus, Cecil Rhodes and Belgium’s King Leopold II … New Zealand’s fourth-largest city removed a bronze statue of the British naval officer Capt. John Hamilton, the city’s namesake, on Friday, a day after a Maori tribe asked for the statue be taken down … The [U.S.] Navy, the Marines and NASCAR have embraced bans on the display of the Confederate flag, and statues of rebel heroes across the South have been vandalized or taken down, either by protesters or local authorities.

Wisconsin Public Radio is dropping its longtime weekend broadcasts of old-time radio shows from the 1930s to the 1960s, citing an inability to find shows without offensive content. The dramas and comedies from what’s often called the “Golden Age of Radio” have aired for decades on Saturday and Sunday evenings on WPR’s Ideas Network … “Old Time Radio Drama” will air for the last time on June 14. The shows originally aired on major commercial radio networks and are now in the public domain. WPR Director Mike Crane said many of the programs from that era contain racist and sexist content.

Will Churchill's Statue Be Next to Fall?
Patrick J. Buchanan
… Retired Gen. David Petraeus has written to urge that all army bases bearing the names of Confederate generals, such as Forts Benning, Bragg and Hood, be renamed. Robert E. Lee, who is everywhere at West Point, says Petraeus, was a U.S. soldier who “committed treason.” … The systematic dishonoring and disgracing of men once revered has only just begun. But it represents a spreading revolution in thought and belief about the origins and history of America … Churchill disparaged people of color whom the British ruled, from the Caribbean to Africa, to the Middle and Near East, to South Asia and the Far East, in terms that would instantly end the career of any American or British politician who used them today.

Second Winston Churchill Statue Vandalized in England
The Sun (Britain)
Another Winston Churchill statue has been vandalised with graffiti after Black Lives Matter protests. The statue, located in Woodford Green in northeast London, is the second statue of Winston Churchill to have been defaced this week. The footage, filmed today, shows several messages sprayed onto the statue’s base. The commemorative statue was erected in 1959 after Churchill served as MP for the area from 1924 to 1964. Another statue of the former prime minister was targeted during a Black Lives Matter march in Parliament Square on June 7. Pictures show police officers standing in front of the memorial with neon green graffiti defacing it on the 76th anniversary of D-Day, last Saturday.

The Enduring, Dangerous Legacy of Winston Churchill
Mark Weber – Podcast
Winston Churchill, Britain’s premier during World War II, is honored for his stubborn “bull dog” hostility toward Hitler and Nazism, and his important role in ultimately destroying Third Reich Germany. In fact, his policies brought death and destruction on a mass scale, Soviet domination of central and eastern Europe, a shattered British empire, and Britain itself exhausted and bankrupt. The well-polished image of Churchill as a courageous and principled defender of freedom is based on a deceitful and ultimately dangerous narrative of history.

Hitler Didn’t Start Indiscriminate Bombings — Churchill Did
Review by Tobias Grey – The Spectator (Britain)
… Up until Churchill’s appointment as prime minister both Germany and Britain had stuck to a pledge not to attack targets in each other’s cities where civilians were at risk. Overy dismisses the long-held belief ‘firmly rooted in the British public mind’ that Hitler initiated the trend for indiscriminate bombings. Instead, he says, the decision to take the gloves off was Churchill’s, ‘because of the crisis in the Battle of France, not because of German air raids [over Britain].’ Ethical restraints which had been imposed at the start of the war became slowly eroded as a result of Britain’s decision to initiate ‘unrestricted’ bombing of targets located in Germany’s urban areas.

The Manufactured Crisis of Police Racism
Jared Taylor
.. The media constantly tell people the police are racist, and many people think the gruesome video of the death of George Floyd bears this out. But let’s look at the facts … Last year, police killed 19 unarmed whites, in addition to the 9 unarmed blacks. … The chances of being unarmed, arrested, and then killed by the police are higher for whites than for blacks. For both races, it’s very rare … This is hardly what we would expect from the way the media report these deaths … In 2018, the most recent year for which we have statistics, blacks accounted for 37 percent of all arrests for violent crimes, 54 percent of all arrests for robbery, and 53 percent of arrests for murder … If anything, police were more likely to shoot at non-threatening whites than at non-threatening blacks … It’s not the police who need reform. It’s the media.

American Police Shoot, Kill and Imprison More People Then Other Developed Countries. Here’s the Data
CNN
… Floyd was just one of the many Americans killed by police officers each year. But in other developed countries, such incidents are rare. Statistical comparisons show that police in the US typically shoot, arrest and imprison more people than similarly developed nations. Each nation listed below either accompanies the US in the G7 group of the world’s most advanced economies, or is ranked similarly on global wealth, freedom and democracy indexes. But when it comes to policing and criminal justice, the US is a noticeable outlier, and black Americans are disproportionately affected.

… Black crime in America had been an important topic of public discussion for at least the last half-century … For many years, the black connection to local crime has been so strong as to almost eliminate the possible role of any other variable … Blacks in America were over six times as likely to be arrested for homicide in 2011 as non-blacks, and over eight times as likely to be arrested for robbery; the factors for previous years were usually in a similar range … It is said that very young children sometimes believe they can hide themselves by covering their eyes, and that seems to be the general approach taken by our major media to the unpleasantly grim racial crime statistics analyzed in this article. But the reality continues to exist whether or not we ignore it.

As massive crowds take over streets across the United States in support of black lives, “white silence is violence” has become a recurring theme, a push to spread awareness that discrimination in a country built on racism extends far beyond police brutality … The movement fueled a growing consciousness and organizing framework for years, building some of the forces necessary to foster the current explosion of protests … The marches that have for more than a week blossomed from New York to Los Angeles, including in many small towns and rural areas nationwide, are attracting older generations as well. … And 78 percent of all Americans consider the anger triggered by George Floyd’s murder “fully” or “partially” justified.

The mayor of Newark plans to ask the city council to approve an ordinance declaring white supremacist groups to be terrorists and ban them from the city. Mayor Ras Baraka announced Friday that he would seek to have the city establish a database of existing American hate groups and outlaw any actions they seek to conduct in the city. Hate groups would be defined as any that “vilify entire groups of people based on immutable characteristics such as race or ethnicity,” and would include Nazi groups, white supremacists and the KKK. “For this country to heal, we must begin to legally challenge the insidious and dehumanizing tenets of white supremacy, once and for all. We must stand up forcefully against racism and have the courage to take on the legal challenges an ordinance such as this will attract,” Baraka said in a statement.

Hundreds of protesters, aided by a sympathetic City Council member, stormed Seattle’s City Hall Tuesday night to demand the mayor’s resignation, just days after seizing a six-block downtown zone that includes a shuttered police precinct. Demonstrators remained peaceful, without reports of violence or injuries, but are pushing Mayor Jenny Durkan to step down if she refuses to defund the city’s police department. The protesters continued to camp out in a self-declared “Capitol Hill Autonomous Zone” (CHAZ) — a region spanning six blocks and encompassing the precinct — which has effectively been abandoned by law enforcement after the Seattle Police Department closed the East Precinct on Monday.

“THIS SPACE IS NOW PROPERTY OF THE SEATTLE PEOPLE” reads a giant black banner with red lettering at the “Capitol Hill Autonomous Zone,” an area around the abandoned police precinct that demonstrators moved into, setting up tents with plans to stay. The Seattle Police Department vacated the East Precinct on Monday night, and protesters against the killing of George Floyd and police brutality established the zone, known as CHAZ, and changed the boarded-up building’s sign to read “Seattle People Department.” Since then, hundreds of people have been gathering in the Capitol Hill neighborhood, where the atmosphere has been part peaceful protest, part commune … People painted BLACK LIVES MATTER in the middle of the street and renamed two streets BLACK LIVES MATTER Way and BLACK LIVES MATTER Square.

Christopher Columbus Statues Beheaded, Pulled Down Across America
Smithsonian Magazine
As monuments to controversial figures face a reckoning around the world, protesters in Massachusetts, Minnesota and Virginia have targeted statues of Christopher Columbus, damaging or pulling down three in a matter of days. In St. Paul, demonstrators toppled a ten-foot-tall statue that stood in front of the Minnesota state capitol. In Richmond, protesters pulled down an eight-foot-tall statue in Byrd Park, carrying it about 200 yards before setting it on fire and throwing it into the nearby Fountain Lake. And, around 12:30 a.m. Wednesday, police in Boston received a report that a marble statue of the Italian explorer and colonizer had lost its head.

Statues of Confederate leaders and the explorer Christopher Columbus have been torn down in the US, as pressure grows on authorities to remove monuments connected to slavery and colonialism. A statue of Confederate President Jefferson Davis was toppled in Richmond, Virginia, on Wednesday night. Statues of Columbus in Boston, Miami and Virginia have been vandalized … Richmond also saw a statue of Italian explorer Columbus pulled down, set alight and thrown into a lake earlier this week. A three-metre tall (10 foot) bronze statue of Columbus was toppled in Saint Paul, Minnesota, on Wednesday. The Columbus statue in Boston, which stands on a plinth at the heart of town, was beheaded.

Mark Weber joins host Fróði Midjord to talk about the significance of the massive “anti-racism” protest rallies across the US in recent weeks, and the violent unrest, arson and looting in major cities. Runtime: 105 mins. In solidarity with the “Black Lives Matter” movement, many white Americans have joined large rallies across the country to demand “racial equality.” The frustration, passion and rage behind these protests, as well as the violence and looting, are entirely understandable, says Weber, given the policies and rhetoric of “white America” for more than 50 years. By its own standards, American-style democracy has failed. The protesters are demanding the fulfillment of countless pledges by US officials to end racial disparity and finally achieve an egalitarian, “color-blind” society.

House Speaker Nancy Pelosi, D-Calif., said Thursday that the names of Confederate leaders must be removed from American military bases and the statues of these men must be taken out of the U.S. Capitol. “These names have to go from these bases and these statues have to go from the Capitol,” Pelosi told reporters at her weekly press conference. “The American people know these names have to go. These names are white supremacists that said terrible things about our country,” she said … She said Thursday that “public sentiment is everything” and now, “the timing might be just right” to remove these artifacts as the nation confronts systemic racism. “They committed treason against the United States,” Pelosi said of Jefferson Davis and Alexander, the president and vice president of the Confederate states respectively.

More 'Holocaust Education' Funding Needed, Says House Speaker Pelosi
US Rep. Nancy Pelosi
… I rise to join my colleagues on this International Holocaust Remembrance Day in support of the Never Again Education Act: strong, bipartisan legislation to ensure that ‘Never Again’ are simply not words, but a solemn, sacred pledge to be fulfilled with action … This overwhelmingly bipartisan effort, reflecting the strong, bipartisan commitment of this entire Congress to standing with the Jewish community and allies to ensure Holocaust education remains front and center in our schools … We must always remember the horrors of the Holocaust, particularly now, as the forces of evil that led to the Shoah are reawakening. And therefore, we must not only remember the Holocaust, but fight anti-Semitism.

One of America’s most influential political figures expressed allegiance to Israel in language that’s extravagant even by the standards of rhetorical hype that often prevail today. At an important Zionist conference, Nancy Pelosi pledged: “I have said to people when they ask me if this Capitol crumbled to the ground, the one thing that would remain is our commitment to our aid … and I don’t even call it aid … our cooperation with Israel. That’s fundamental to who we are.” Pelosi, who is speaker of the US House of Representatives, was addressing a conference of the Israeli-American Council, Dec. 2, 2018. Together with her were two powerful Jewish-Zionist figures: US Senate Democratic Party leader Chuck Schumer, and Haim Saban, a billionaire Israeli-American businessman who has been the leading financial backer of Democratic Party candidates.

A statue of the man who founded the Scouts movement is to be removed from Poole [England] Quay amid fears it is on a “target list for attack”. Following police information, the 12-year-old statue of Robert Baden-Powell is to be “temporarily” removed to protect it, Bournemouth, Christchurch and Poole (BCP) Council said. The statue will have 24-hour security protection until it can be removed. Protesters gathered at the quayside to show support for the statue. Baden-Powell, who died aged 83 in 1941, has been criticised by campaigners who have accused him of racism, homophobia and support for Adolf Hitler. In a statement, BCP deputy leader Mark Howell said it had made the decision “quickly” following the listing of the statue on a website detailing potential targets for attacks.

Mass Police Brutality Isn't the True Plight of Black Americans
Walter E. Williams
… Today’s black Americans have significant political power at all levels of government. Yet, what has that meant for a large segment of the black population? Democratic-controlled cities have the poorest-quality public education despite their large, and growing, school budgets … According to Statista, this year, 172 whites and 88 blacks have died at the hands of police. To put police shootings in a bit of perspective, in Chicago alone in 2020, there have been 1,260 shootings and 256 homicides with blacks being the primary victims. That comes to one shooting victim every three hours and one homicide victim every 15 hours. Three people in Chicago have been killed by police.

Chicago saw its deadliest day in at least 60 years last month, with 18 killings within a 24-hour period on 31 May. The violence occurred as protests over George Floyd’s death in Minneapolis also spurred rioting and looting in the Windy City. Over the last weekend in May – a three-day holiday – 85 people were shot and 24 killed, according to the University of Chicago Crime Lab. Most of the victims were black. The dead and injured include students, parents and middle-aged workers, according to the data published in the Chicago Sun-Times. “We’ve never seen anything like it, at all,” senior research director Max Kapustin told the newspaper, noting that the Crime Lab’s data only goes back as far as 1961. “I don’t even know how to put it into context,” he said.

The Left's Coming War on Cops
Patrick J. Buchanan
Newly painted in huge yellow letters on 16th Street, just north of the White House, is the slogan: “Defund the Police.” That new message sits beside the “Black Lives Matter” slogan, also in huge letters, painted there at the direction of D.C. Mayor Muriel Bowser. She renamed that section of 16th Street “Black Lives Matter Plaza.” … In two weeks, there has been a sea change in attitudes toward police, with not a few coming to share the hard left’s hatred. While the criminal elements burned cop cars and showered police with bottles, rocks and bricks, even “peaceful protesters” were calling the police fascists and racists … To pander to the militants on the left, liberal politicians will devise new restrictions on cops and more severe punishments for infractions, treating the police as potential threats to civil and constitutional rights.

Gone with the Wind has been taken off HBO Max following calls for it to be removed from the US streaming service. HBO Max said the 1939 film was “a product of its time” and depicted “ethnic and racial prejudices” that “were wrong then and are wrong today”. It said the film would return to the platform at an unspecified date with a “discussion of its historical context”. Set during and after the American Civil War, Gone with the Wind has long been attacked for its depiction of slavery. Based on the novel by Margaret Mitchell, it features slave characters who seem contented with their lot and who remain loyal to their former owners after slavery’s abolition. Gone with the Wind received ten [?] Oscars and remains the highest-grossing movie of all time when its takings are adjusted for inflation.

The bureaucratic red tape that normally prevents politicians from rapidly changing their cityscapes is falling away as protesters demanding racial justice insist that Confederate monuments be swept into the dustbin of history. Motivated by civil unrest, politicians are now scrambling to make good on years-old promises to remove statues and other subtle homages to the Confederacy from their streets … Virginia Governor Ralph Northam announced on Thursday that the state would begin clearing Confederate structures from the Richmond capital after protesters targeted its many symbols of slavery, including a 130-year-old statue of Robert E. Lee …

British PM Johnson Slams Protest 'Thuggery' After Cops Hurt, Churchill Statue Defaced
Times of Israel – News Agencies
British Prime Minister Boris Johnson on Sunday condemned the sporadic violence during a weekend of largely peaceful protests in support of the Black Lives Matter movement, which also saw the defacing of a statue of former British premier Winston Churchill and the toppling of a statue of a 17th-century slave trader … Protesters defaced the statue of Churchill in central London, taping a Black Lives Matter sign around its midsection, and crossing out his last name and spray painting “was a racist” underneath. Churchill, subject of a 2014 biography written by Johnson, was Britain’s wartime prime minister, leading the country in World War II against the Nazis. In addition to the defacement of the statue, a protester tried to set fire to a British flag at the Cenotaph, the London memorial to the country’s war dead.

The Real Churchill
Adam Young
… The truth about Winston Churchill is that he was a menace to liberty, and a disaster for Britain, for Europe, for the United States of America, and for Western Civilization itself … With his lack of principles and scruples, Churchill was involved in one way or another in nearly every disaster that befell the 20th century. He helped destroy laissez-faire liberalism, he played a role in the Crash of 1929, he helped start World War I, and by bringing in America to help, prolonged the war and created the conditions for the rise of Nazism, prolonged World War II, laid the groundwork for Soviet domination, helped involve America in a cold war with Russia, and pioneered in the development of total war and undermining western civilized standards.

Was the Battle of Britain Worth It?
Kevin Myers - The Catholic Herald (Britain)
Seventy-five years on from the Battle of Britain, the question remains: was Churchill right to reject peace overtures from Germany in 1940? Did the moral grounds for a continuation of the war – a just cause, a proportionate cost and a realistic likelihood of victory – exist? Was more war morally justifiable? … In 1940, Hitler had neither the means nor the intention of invading Britain … The British “Victory” of 1945 is largely mythic. The cost of not ending the war in 1940 included the deaths of hundreds of thousands of Britons, the ruination of most British cities, and a debt burden to the US that lasted three generations.

Those Pesky Statistics
Theodore Dalrymple
… Roughly speaking, a policeman in the United States is about fifty times more likely to be killed than to kill, and this is without taking into consideration that the majority of the killings by the police are at least prima facie justified by self-defense or the interruption or prevention of a serious crime … A policeman is about fifteen times more likely to be killed by a black man than to kill a black man … A black man is about thirty times more likely to be killed by another black man than to be killed by a policeman (and some of the police are themselves black, of course) … Of course, most people do not bother to look up the statistics, but in some inchoate way they know them to be true.

Things We Won’t Say About Race That Are True
Channel 4 (Britain) – Video
In this remarkable documentary, Britain’s one-time “chief enforcer” of equality confronts some uncomfortable truths about racial stereotypes, and suggests that attempts to promote equality have brought serious unwanted negative consequences. “In this film I’m going to say some things about race that we normally never say on television,” says Trevor Phillips, who for ten years was chair of Britain’s “Equality and Human Rights Commission.” He adds: “I’m going to say some of the things that we once told you were forbidden.” “Now I am convinced that we were utterly wrong,” he says, about key assumptions that he and other promoters of “equality” once held. This 2015 British “Channel 4” television documentary is written and produced by Trevor Phillips. Runtime: one hour and six minutes.

A Powerful Indictment of America’s Failed Racial Policy
C. Stanwood - Institute for Historical Review
… As author Jared Taylor graphically relates in [Paved With Good Intentions] this meticulously documented, closely argued and powerfully written review of the lamentable state of race relations in America, a system of “prevailing taboos” has been allowed to evolve, a dangerous consequence of which is that honest and intelligent discussion of race and related issues has largely been proscribed … In any case, Taylor argues, only by confronting the true dimensions of a failed policy can we hope to resolve the many daunting problems that are its consequence.

Israel's War Crimes Have Killed Americans: Remembering Israel’s Attack on the U.S.S. Liberty
Philip Giraldi
… The greatest crime against the Liberty crew was committed by the United States government itself. President Lyndon B. Johnson and Secretary of Defense Robert McNamara reportedly were informed of the attack shortly after it began and it was Johnson who twice personally ordered the recall of the U.S. fighter planes going to rescue the Liberty. Admiral Lawrence Geis, commander of the carrier group in the Mediterranean that the planes had launched from, objected and McNamara responded testily that “President Johnson is not going to go to war or embarrass an American ally over a few sailors.” … The tale of the Liberty demonstrates that even fifty-three years ago the United States government was betraying its own people out of deference to Jewish power and to the state of Israel.

Israel's Attack On The USS Liberty: Still No Justice
Jeffrey St. Clair – CounterPunch
… The Pentagon lied to the public about the attack on the Liberty from the very beginning … As the attacks were going on, conversations between Israeli pilots were overheard by US Air Force officers in an EC121 surveillance plane overhead. The spy plane was spotted by Israeli jets, which were given orders to shoot it down. The American plane narrowly avoided the IDF [Israeli] missiles … A particularly damning report compiled by a CIA informant suggests that Israeli Defense minister Moshe Dayan personally ordered the attack and wanted it to proceed until the Liberty was sunk and all on board killed … How tightly does the Israeli lobby control the Hill? For the first time in history, an attack on an America ship was not subjected to a public investigation by Congress.

The USS Liberty: America’s Most Shameful Secret
Eric Margolis
… Far more shocking was Washington’s response. Writes Bamford: ‘Despite the overwhelming evidence that Israel attacked the ship and killed American servicemen deliberately, the Johnson Administration and Congress covered up the entire incident.’ Why? Domestic politics. Johnson, a man never noted for high moral values, preferred to cover up the attack rather than anger a key constituency and major financial backer of the Democratic Party. Congress was even less eager to touch this ‘third rail’ issue.

Blood in the Water: How the US and Israel Conspired to Ambush the USS Liberty
Joan Mellen - Book Available from IHR
In this startling work, an eminent author presents evidence of collusion between US and Israeli intelligence in the murderous 1967 attack against the USS Liberty, a US naval surveillance vessel, and in maintaining a cover-up that has endured for more than 50 years. So intense and sustained was the attack – it lasted for nearly an hour and a half – and so specific was the aiming for the antennae and satellite dish on deck, that it was scarcely credible that Israel’s aggression was not deliberate. Based on interviews with more than 40 survivors, knowledgeable political insiders, and Soviet archives of the period, investigative writer Joan Mellen presents disturbing evidence of complicity between US and Israeli intelligence in the attack, and in maintaining the decades-old cover-up.

German Military to Include Rabbis for First Time Since 1933

Get Up Off Your Knees

… Being white is not a crime … Rejecting collective guilt is not a crime … Embracing the historic American nation, instead of erasing it, is not a crime … Do not let the media, Hollywood, academics, or politicians gaslight you. Stop internalizing lies … Weakness is not strength. Confessing sins for which you bear no guilt is not noble. It makes me sick to my stomach to see virtue-signaling police chiefs kneeling before barking rioters calling them “pigs.” I am nauseated by the sight of sobbing white people groveling for forgiveness before sadistic Black Lives Matter demagogues — as if this will appease the unappeasable. It will not and never will. America, straighten your spines. Unbow your heads. No home or nation was ever saved by kowtowing to invaders or ransackers.

A statue of Britain’s most renowned leader Winston Churchill has been vandalized in London as protesters turned out to speak against racism. The vandalism came on the anniversary of D-Day when allied forces — partially led by Churchill — stormed the beaches of Normandy during World War II. Footage online showed the bottom of the statue bearing neon green graffiti that read “ACAB,” which stands for “all cops are bastards.” While it’s unclear who the perpetrator was, many blamed the protesters and called out the police for not doing more to protect the statue … London’s protests are part of a global uproar that occurred after the death of George Floyd … Some, however, seemed to excuse the vandalism by describing Churchill as a racist.

D-Day: The Climactic Battle of World War II
David Frum
… As dramatic as D-Day was, on any measure of scale, it does not rank among the ten biggest battles of World War II. (All of the top ten were fought on the eastern front.) Yet it has to be regarded as among the very most decisive battles of the war — and certainly one of the most stupendous accomplishment of American arms in particular … Hastings points out that, except for artillery, Allied equipment was consistently inferior to its German counterpart: Despite the huge Allied investment in technology, the Germans produced better rifles, better grenades, better machineguns, better antitank weapons, better tanks, and better aircraft. Most serious of all: the Germans consistently outmaneuvered and outfought the Allies in Normandy, especially the British.

Germany Was Defeated on the Eastern Front, Not Normandy
Eric Margolis
… Most Americans, British and Canadians believe that D-Day was the decisive stroke that ended WWII in Europe. But this is not true. Germany’s mighty Wehrmacht, which included the Luftwaffe, was destroyed by Stalin’s Soviet Union … The most important point of the great invasion is that without it, the Red Army would have reached Paris and the Channel Ports by the end of 1944, making Stalin the master of all Europe except Spain. Of course, the Allies could have reached a peace agreement with Germany in 1944, which Hitler was seeking and Gen. George Patton was rumored to be advocating. But the German-hating Churchill and left-leaning Roosevelt were too bloody-minded to consider a peace that would have kept Stalin out of at least some of Eastern Europe.

Monuments Across the US are Toppled, Damaged Amid Continuing Protests
G. Angeleti - The Art Newspaper
Last week a crowd of protesters toppled a statue of the Civil War-era industrialist and Confederate Navy captain Charles Linn in a park named for him in Birmingham, Alabama. Last night, in the same park, the last of the Confederate Soldiers & Sailors Monument was removed after the obelisk had largely been dismantled over the week as demonstrations against police violence and racism continued. What is left behind now is a just a chipped concrete base emblazoned with the graffitied words “Black Lives Matter” … A statue of General Robert E. Lee was toppled from its pedestal in front of the namesake high school in Montgomery, Alabama, on Monday. A statue outside the Tennessee State Capitol of Edward Carmack, a controversial former lawmaker and newspaper publisher who espoused racist views, was torn down Saturday.

Vandals Attack Robert E. Lee Statue and Daughters of Confederacy Building in Richmond
The Washington Post
On a night of violence in the former capital of the Confederacy, protesters targeted Richmond’s fraught history as they decried the killing of George Floyd – a scene repeated in Charleston, S.C., Raleigh, N.C. and other Southern cities. The statue of Confederate Gen. Robert E. Lee, which towers over Monument Avenue in Richmond, was covered with graffiti, including the phrases “No More White Supremacy,” “Blood On Your Hands” and “Black Lives Matter.” The Stonewall Jackson, JEB Stuart and Jefferson Davis memorials were also defaced. A noose hung from the statue of Davis, who was the president of the Confederacy and an ardent defender of slavery. The United Daughters of the Confederacy headquarters was set on fire early Sunday morning. The blaze was extinguished by Richmond firefighters.

Confederate Statue Removed From Alexandria Intersection
The Washington Post
The Confederate statue “Appomattox,” which depicts a southern-facing Civil War soldier and has stood in an Alexandria [Virginia] intersection for 131 years, was removed Tuesday morning, a month earlier than planned. Alexandria Mayor Justin Wilson (D) said the United Daughters of the Confederacy, which owns the statue, opted to remove the memorial a month ahead of schedule because of demonstrations nationwide in which segregation-era statues have been vandalized. The monolith commemorates the mustering at the start of the Civil War of Alexandria citizens who marched south to join the Confederate forces. Black residents have long considered it an affront and a reminder that Alexandria sided with those who supported slavery.

US Veterans Affairs Agency to Remove 'Nazi' Grave Markers
Military Times
Veterans Affairs officials announced Monday they will remove a series of grave markers bearing Nazi swastikas and tributes to Adolf Hitler from department cemeteries after lawmakers and veterans advocates complained the markers were offensive and disrespectful. The move represents a turnaround from last week, when VA Secretary Robert Wilkie said he was looking for ways to put the problematic grave markers “in historical context” rather than remove them from the cemeteries. But critics said any result that left the controversial symbols alongside the graves of American war heroes was insufficient. After about two weeks of controversy, VA officials relented.

Activists defaced and scaled Abraham Lincoln’s statue in Parliament Square, London, at a Black Lives Matter rally held in defiance of Britain’s anti-coronavirus regulations. Video from protest, estimated to be 15,000-strong at the time of publication, shows the Lincoln statue defaced with the graffiti reading “BLM” and naming George Floyd, Mike Brown, and other individuals said to have been killed wrongfully by the police. One side of Lincoln’s pedestal has also had a banner and several placards duct-taped to it, reading “RACISM IS A PANDEMIC TOO”, “SILENCE IS VIOLENCE”, “BLM”, and “ABOLISH THE POLICE”. Separate footage shows protesters physically scaling the statue to cheers from the closely-packed crowds …

Workers removed a statue of Philadelphia’s controversial former Mayor Frank Rizzo from its place of honor across from City Hall early Wednesday morning, finishing a job that protesters attempted to accomplish during recent demonstrations against police brutality. In the 1970s, Rizzo famously told Philadelphia voters to “vote white.” But on Wednesday, the City of Brotherly Love took down a memorial to a man who exploited its divisions. For many Philadelphians, the larger-than-life statue of Rizzo, who also was police commissioner, was an overt symbol of white police officers’ brutal treatment of black people and other minorities. “The Frank Rizzo statue represented bigotry, hatred, and oppression for too many people, for too long. It is finally gone,” Mayor Jim Kenney said Wednesday …

Americans are Bowing Down Before the Mob Because of a Big Lie
A. Widburg - American Thinker
One of the more disturbing images to emerge in the past few days has been of police officers and National Guardsman kneeling — effectively bowing down — before the mob. These men and women who represent the forces of law and order claim they are kneeling in solidarity, but what they’re doing looks remarkably like surrender … Back in the 1960s, authority figures also collapsed before the black mob. Shelby Steele, in White Guilt, describes how his college president, the quintessential white liberal who gave to all the Civil Rights causes, backed down like a deflated balloon: … “This is why white guilt is quite literally the same thing as black power.”

New York Times writer Nikole Hannah-Jones described ongoing looting in the wake of the death of George Floyd as a “symbolic taking.” … “ `Often the negro does not even want what he takes’,” Hannah-Jones said, quoting a Martin Luther King Jr. letter from September 1967. “ ‘He wants the experience of taking. Negroes have committed crimes, but they are the derivative crimes and they are borne of the greater crimes of the white society, so when we ask negroes to abide by the law let us also demand that the white man abide by the law and the ghettos as well’.”

Liberal Mush From the Mad Dog
Patrick J. Buchanan
… Society and civilization are on the line. If mob tactics are now how we change laws and alter public policy, the democratic republic is dead and we have gone full Third World. Some of us do not believe America is a racist society or that the nation’s police, numbering a million men and women, are shot through with anti-black racism. Some of us believe the police are the last line of defense we have against that “small number of lawbreakers” Mattis tells us are no problem. Did the general actually produce this pile of mush that reads like something out of Ramsey Clark in the 1960s? My guess: Mattis, an obedient servant of President Trump for two years, has been persuaded that the wind is blowing the other way and his “place in history” demands that he get himself on the correct side.

Defiant DC Mayor Has 'Black Lives Matter' Painted in Large Letters on Streets Near White House
BBC News
The Washington DC mayor has changed the name of a plaza outside the White House to “Black Lives Matter Plaza” in a rebuke to President Trump. Mayor Muriel Bowser, a Democrat, also unveiled a two-block long mural painted onto the street leading up to the White House declaring “Black Lives Matter” … The mayor also tweeted a video clip of the giant “Black Lives Matter” street mural emblazoned on the road in front of the White House in bright yellow paint … More black residents live in Washington than white residents, but the city has some of the highest levels of economic disparity between black and white households in the US.

Insane News Tidbits
Walter E. Williams
… New York Governor Andrew Cuomo, in justifying his draconian coronavirus measures, said during a press conference: “This is about saving lives. If everything we do saves just one life, I’ll be happy.” … Prudent decision-making requires one to compare benefits to costs … When we consider the costs and inconvenience of setting a 5 mph speed limit, we rightly conclude that saving those 36,120 lives isn’t worth it. There are other news tidbits about politicians drunk with power … Chicago Mayor Lori Lightfoot told city residents who disobeyed her stay-at-home order: “We will arrest you and we will take you to jail. Period. We’re not playing games.” Meanwhile, in violation of her own stay-at-home order, Lightfoot slipped out and got her hair done. She explained her decision, “I take my personal hygiene very seriously.”

Confederate Monuments Vandalized Across the South During Floyd Protests
News & Observer (Raleigh, N.C.)
Confederate monuments were vandalized in at least six Southern states as protests erupted over the death of George Floyd … In Alabama, the city of Birmingham on Monday started to take down its Confederate Soldiers & Sailors Monument, which had stood over the city for 115 years, McClatchy reported. The removal process came after protesters this weekend toppled a similar statue in the city’s Linn Park. In other parts of the region, statues and structures were left defaced. In Virginia, “No More White Supremacy” and “Black Lives Matter” were among the messages scrawled on the statue of Confederate Gen. Robert E. Lee in Richmond, The Washington Post reported. Nearby, a fire was set at the United Daughters of the Confederacy headquarters early Sunday morning …

Since 1890, a statue of Confederate Gen. Robert E. Lee has watched over the heart of Richmond, Virginia, once the capital of the Confederacy, and to this day, a place for protesters who consider the historic marker a shameful symbol of the nation’s past. Now, the longstanding tribute to Lee, along with four other statues depicting Confederate figures that line a two-mile stretch of Monument Avenue, will be removed in the coming weeks and placed into storage, Gov. Ralph Northam announced Thursday … It’s an extraordinary move, historians say, amid the larger backdrop over the debate to dismantle Confederate monuments, recently reignited by the wave of national protests and turmoil over the death of George Floyd …

Exactly 100 years ago, in the Trianon palace at Versailles, two medium-ranking Hungarian officials signed away two thirds of their country, and 3.3 million of their compatriots. A new monument has appeared in the past weeks in front of parliament in Budapest, among many already erected by Viktor Orban’s government to Hungary’s past glories. For Hungary the 1920 treaty was a national wound that still festers to this day … US President Woodrow Wilson’s proposal for the self-determination of all national minorities was valid for everyone except Hungary, claim the Hungarians. National groups, which had long felt oppressed by the Hungarians, claimed their own sovereignty while Hungarians found themselves suddenly divided among several states.

Russia flew a batch of advanced MiG-29 fighter jets to Syria, Moscow’s embassy in Damascus said, with Syrian pilots already using the planes to conduct missions within the country’s airspace. President Vladimir Putin last week ordered Russia’s foreign and defence ministries to hold talks with its close ally, Syria, to obtain more facilities and maritime access there, in addition to the two military bases it has already. Russia’s Embassy in Syria said on Twitter late on Wednesday that the latest batch of planes was for the Syrian military.

A Forgotten Genocide: Germans in Postwar Central Europe
Tom Sunic – Audio - Institute for Historical Review
Dr. Sunic provides an overview of the brutal “ethnic cleansing” of Germans in the aftermath of World War Two, in which some twelve million people, mostly women, children and elderly, were forcibly expelled from centuries-old homelands in eastern and central Europe. Of these, some two million were killed or otherwise perished. In this address at an IHR meeting, the European-American scholar contrasts the way in which this massive genocide is all but ignored in the US media, whereas Jewish “victimology” has become a central feature of our society’s “civic religion.”

… The heart of the American exceptionalism in question is American hubris. It is based on the assumption that we are better than the rest of the world, and that this superiority both entitles and obligates us to take on an outsized role in the world … The contemporary version of American exceptionalism is tied up inextricably with the belief that the U.S. is the “indispensable nation.” … We have seen just how divorced from reality that belief is in just the last few months … The same hubris that has warped foreign policy decisions over the decades has encouraged a dangerous complacency about the problems in our own country. We can’t let that continue. Our leaders were so preoccupied with trying to remake other parts of the world that they failed to see that our country was falling apart all around them.

Why Wasn’t Netanyahu Ever Indicted in the US?
Grant Smith
Benjamin Netanyahu’s prosecution for corruption in an Israeli courtroom is now underway. The current Israeli Prime Minister is facing three counts of fraud and breach of trust and one count of bribery. The first count listed in the charge sheet details Israeli movie producer Arnon Milchan’s long relationship with Netanyahu … Milchan’s involvement in a nuclear weapons technology smuggling ring targeting the United States may have generated the State Department red flag. The files reveal that Milchan, Netanyahu and American scientist Richard Kelly Smyth in the 1980s unlawfully smuggled 15 shipments containing 810 nuclear weapons triggers out of the United States to the Israeli Ministry of Defense through a network of Milchan companies.

Darkness Falls
Heather Mac Donald - City Journal
… Political leaders elsewhere have been just as reluctant to use the necessary force to quell the violence. New York mayor Bill de Blasio called on police to use a “light touch” in response … Facts don’t matter to the academic victimology narrative. Far from destroying the black body, whites are the overwhelming target of interracial violence. Between 2012 and 2015, blacks committed 85.5 percent of all black-white interracial violent victimizations … Once the violence began, any effort to “understand” it should have stopped, since that understanding is inevitably exculpatory … The great philosophers and poets of the West — from Aeschylus and Euripides, to Shakespeare, Hobbes, and the American Founders — understood the chaos and lust for power that lurk beneath civilization.

Why America’s Decline Will Accelerate
Mark Weber – Podcast
Americans have never been so distrustful of their country’s political leaders and major institutions, or more gloomy about the long-term future. This is much more than unhappiness about the economy and unemployment. Across the US and in Europe, there’s a profound crisis of confidence in the democratic-capitalist system. In the years ahead, American and western European society will continue to disintegrate because the factors behind the decline are still in place, and because the prevailing system operates on the basis of an ideology of egalitarianism, universalism and “diversity” that’s not grounded in historical or social reality. Runtime: 45 mins.

Assaulted and Vilified, Cops Save the Cities
Patrick J. Buchanan
… Of his home state, this citadel of liberalism, [Minnesota Governor Tim] Walz said last week, “Systemic racism must be addressed if we are to secure, justice, peace and order for all Minnesotans.” Query: How does “systemic racism” permeate a blue state dominated for decades by liberal Democrats? What explains the failure of Democrats who have long run Minnesota to root out racism? Why have liberals failed to exorcise racism where they rule? Are even good Minnesota liberals infected with the virus? What we witnessed this week in Minneapolis is a failure of liberalism. … In April 1968, for days after the assassination of Martin Luther King, U.S. cities were pillaged and burned, Washington, D.C., among them. LBJ’s Kerner Commission said the cause of the riots that had come out of the black community was actually “white racism.”

Rise Up Already, You Schvartzes
David Cole - Taki’s Mag
… This is why [Frances] Fisher is so fascinating to me. She, herself, is an “archetype”: a left-wing Jew who views herself as one of the masses even as she lives in wealth and privilege. She playacts at fighting “the system,” the “insiders,” and the “aristocracy,” while living as an insider and aristocrat who benefits from the system … This disconnect is hard-wired into a large percentage of American Jews, and it’s scary the extent to which we wallow in it unaware … Jews at CNN like Jeff Zucker, Michael Bass, and Andrew Morse think they can encourage the nonwhite masses to go searching for “the people who hold the power,” and somehow that scheme won’t boomerang on their own community. Frances Fisher thinks she can ignite a race war without being one of the first casualties of the bloodthirsty revolutionaries she incites.

World Alarmed by Violence in US
Associated Press
Nations around the world have watched in horror at the five days of civil unrest in the United States following the death of a black man being detained by police. But they have not been surprised. Racism-tinged events no longer startle even America’s closest allies, though many have watched coverage of the often-violent protests with growing unease. Burning cars and riot police in the US featured on newspaper front pages around the globe … In countries with authoritarian governments, state-controlled media have been highlighting the chaos and violence of the U.S. demonstrations, in part to undermine American officials’ criticism of their own nations.

Austria has unveiled plans to “neutralise” the building where Nazi German dictator Adolf Hitler was born, by turning it into a police station. The government bought the building under a compulsory purchase order in 2016 after a lengthy dispute. Officials announced it would be turned into a police station in November. Now an Austrian architecture firm will carry out the changes designed to stop the site, in Braunau on the border with Germany, attracting neo-Nazis.
